Russia Vineyard Chooses Custom Transparent Rain Cover with Eyelet Design

A vineyard customer in Russia needed a transparent rain cover that could be installed quickly and work well in outdoor grape growing conditions.

The customer did not want a normal roll from stock. He needed the cover to match his vineyard setup, so the edges were prepared with evenly spaced holes for direct rope fixing in the field.This way, the material can be installed directly after arrival without extra work on site. This order was for a vineyard in Russia, where the cover will be used for grape rain protection. The finished specification is 1.5m × 160m. It uses transparent HDPE with UV treatment, in 150g / 200 microns.

The customer chose this structure because it offers both durability and light transmission, which are important for outdoor grape growing. The target service life is 5 to 10 years under field conditions.Since the cover is transparent, it helps keep natural light for the grapes while reducing direct rain impact during the growing season.

The special part of this order was the edge treatment. Instead of a normal roll, the customer asked for punched eyelets every 20 cm, with each hole at 1 cm diameter. This allowed rope fixing directly onto the vineyard frame. In practical use, this means less extra work after delivery and faster setup in the field.

For products like this, the final result depends on details. The eyelets must be evenly spaced, the edges must stay strong under tension, and the material must handle long periods outdoors. These points were checked carefully during production so the cover could arrive ready for use, not needing additional processing at the farm.
