The black and white mulch film is made from LDPE and designed with two functional sides. The black side of the row cover fabric faces down toward the soil. It blocks sunlight, and the weeds cannot photosynthesize and eventually die. The white side of the row cover fabric faces up and reflects sunlight, which can slightly reduce the temperature of the soil surface. It can benefit the crop plants by reducing temperatures in the peak growing season, in the same way that a white roof on a house keeps it cooler in summer.
