In the fields, the biodegradable mulch film is laid the same way as ordinary film. The soil under it stays damp longer, weeds are pressed down, and young plants grow more evenly. Some farmers also use it in greenhouses where it helps keep the ground warmer in early spring.

After the season ends, the film doesn’t need to be pulled out. It starts to break apart in the soil and slowly disappears with watering and microbial activity. By the next cycle, most of it has turned into soil-friendly matter, which saves the work of cleaning up and avoids plastic residues left behind.

Our biodegradable mulch film can be made with two different material options.
Option 1 uses PBAT + PLA, which breaks down completely in about six months.
Option 2 is PE blended with D2W, which degrades more slowly, usually around eighteen months.

Both types are made from new raw materials, ensuring good strength during use. The biodegradable agricultural film can be laid in the same way as standard mulch film and provides reliable coverage for the growing season.

We also provide custom production. Farmers can request punching for planting holes, and we can adjust the color, width, thickness, and weight according to different crops and field requirements.

Biodegradable Mulch Film – Henan Fengcheng Plastic

Mulch films from Henan Fengcheng Plastic are designed to degrade in the soil after one season. The film is applied the same as regular plastic mulch, to help suppress weeds, retain moisture, and keep the soil a little warmer for vegetables, melons, or flowers.

The difference comes after harvest. Rather than remove the film, it is left in place to slowly degrade and work its way into the soil. Many see this as an advantage, both to save labor and eliminate the bits of plastic that are otherwise difficult to clean up.
